flavorizor bars Sep 01, 2010 bought this item because my old bars gut rusty and old. The new ones are stainless steel and fit perfectly on my 2 burner silver weber c model. Mine is an old pre 2001 model. If you buy ones measure your old ones as I had to return my first purchase as they were too long. Webwers are great and worth te extra money. This isthe first repair.
Stainless versus procelain flavorizer bars Jun 21, 2010 I have not installed these yes eaiting out myy porcelain ones to collapse, they have holes in them. I cook a lot and at high temperature, so it is likely these would go, I'm upgrading to Stainless Steel to see how these hold up. Amazon absolutely best price, fast ship!
Don't wait...replace your flavorizer bars! Apr 22, 2010 After three years of heavy use, our Weber Spirit was seriously underperforming with frequent flareups, hot and cold spots. The original grates and flavorizer bars were terribly corroded. I hesitated to spend the $$ on replacement ones, but finally went ahead and purchased new stainless grates and bars. I'm SO glad I did and wish I had done this last summer!
Don't wait to replace these (like I did)...it will be time and money wasted burning food and cooking unevenly.
With the new replacement parts, it is like having a whole new grill, and the joy is back in using it!
Far superior to the original porcelain coated steel, I expect them to last longer.
Worth the investment.
Better than the porcelain bars Mar 29, 2010 I love the Weber Silver grille I have had for about 15 years. However, in that time I have gone through about 3 sets of flavorizer grills. I was using the porcelain models, and now that I've switched to stainless it looks like I'm set for the rest of the life of the grille. The only other thing replaced on this grill was a regulator which Weber sent me for free.
These stainless flavorizer bars work great!
Much better than the original ceramic bars Mar 05, 2010 Much better than the original ceramic coated bars. Easy to clean and non-corrosive. Wish they originally came with the grill.
