The Radius Garden Natural Radius Grip garden tools were designed using the most current research into human factors and tool usage. The patent-pending, Natural Radius Grip, maximizes your power and comfort while minimizing hand and wrist stress. Traditional garden tools force you to use your hands and wrists in a way that can cause injuries. The curve of the grip matches the curve of the palm of your hand. This allows you to hold the tools with your wrist in a safe, neutral position at all angles of attack. This maximizes power and comfort while minimizing wrist and hand stress. The large grips on Radius tools allow you to hold the tool securely without exerting pressure and wasting your energy. The blades of these tools are made of a special aluminum/magnesium alloy. It weighs less than conventional die cast aluminum, but has strength similar to steel. The tools are lighter weight yet have equal or greater strength than traditional garden tools. The advanced ergonomic design should make gardening easier and more enjoyable. | | | |

Great idea, but poor quality. May 17, 2010 The tip broke the very first time I used it. About 1 1/2 inches broke off the end of the tool in the dirt. Tool still works, but the lightweight metal is too lightweight for any serious weeding. Very disappointed!
oops it broke Apr 26, 2010 I liked the long design of the weeder specifically for dandelions and their deep roots. After a few hours of using the tool and liking the effectiveness of the weeder, I attempted to remove a dandelion from a location along a concrete curb. I sunk the blade in the soil and use the concrete as a leverage point. The metal blade snapped and broke off in the ground. Darn! Well it was great for a few hours.
weeds literally pop up Nov 27, 2009 the primary difference I notice with this weeder is how deep it goes with less effort and that you can actually feel and hear dandelions pop from the ground. Very well made so it looks like it will last a long time.

Great Until it Snapped Jun 16, 2009 This tool was very useful and had great ergonomics. Unfortunatley, the light weight came at a great cost -- it broke within the first few weeks of ownership. It helped me weed out about 100 dandelions before it snapped violently in slightly stiff soil.

Great design May 05, 2009 Great design, you can work all day and not hurt you hands. Regular garden tools seem so primitive when you get used to these.
I know some people have bent them, but I think this is because it is so easy to get good leverage on them that people do not realize how much force they are putting on them. Use a little common sense, they are well made but they are not crowbars. The blade and the handle are one piece of metal so no problems with handles coming loose or breaking.
The only bad thing I can say is they take up more room in a toolbox because of the curved handles. But well worth the space.
I have the whole set of hand tools, plus 2 shovels and a pitchfork. All great. Truly, the next step in garden tools.
