Excellent product; shoddy packaging. Jun 02, 2010 This is an excellent yard cart. Just as described. Highly recommended. Having said that, there is more. I do not recall ever receiving anything so poorly packaged. The box was broken open in three places. Others have commented on this as well. Only by luck were all the pieces (except 5 bolt caps) present. I do not blame the carrier for this; it is a relatively heavy item in a woefully inadequate box. Be prepared to check over it well if you order. The company ought to be ashamed of this! By the way, it goes together fairly easily although one might set aside an hour and assemble it out of earshot of young children.
What I needed, after customizing May 13, 2010 In spite of the complaints in some preceding reviews, I ordered this from Amazon. I placed the order on a Sunday; Precision Products shipped it (via UPS) on Monday; UPS delivered it on Friday. The box was intact, which I attribute to UPS' careful handling, since for the weight it COULD have used a retaining strap.
All the small parts were in one sealed bag, and all accounted for. It took me about an hour to do the assembly. Don't tighten the bolts completely until you have them all in place, leaving some wiggle room. After assembly you might want to saw off the protruding bolt ends.
My house is surrounded by natural terrain, which is too rough for the typically small garden cart wheels. 20" diameter is about right for me. My specific need is to cart topsoil UPHILL. I found with the short-handeled carts that they would run over my feet as I backed uphill; this cart has a comfortably LONG handle keeping one out of the way of its body. The only shortcoming for my purpose is that at rest this cart is considerably inclined forward (opposite the handle). This design makes dumping easy on level ground, but on an uphill incline the legs don't provide enough traction to keep the cart from rolling back down. So, using 1" steel pipe with the existing bolts, I extended the legs so the cart now rests with its bin level, and doesn't roll downhill. Customizing never hurts.
This is a solid product, with fast delivery.
Poor Packaging Mar 25, 2010 We were disappointed when the package arrived; parts rattling inside. Once opened, we found good instructions; however, several small parts (nuts, cotter pin, etc.) were missing; axle did not have one of the required predrilled holes. I called Precision; they were cordial and are sending replacement parts within 2 business days.
The cart design appears to be quite good and I'm hoping it will be a worthwhile addition to my garden equipment. Won't know until the parts arrive!
Great Garden Cart Feb 08, 2010 While I have not actually used the cart (winter is not the time to test a gard tool) I do think it will be awesome since we have a hilly yard area where a traditional wheel barrow really is not viable. This cart could easily double as an indoor cart for carrying several items, wood, salt, etc down stairs.
My only complaint was that assembly was a tad difficult and I consider myself a pretty decent assembler. The assembly instructions were a poor photocopy of an original.

Shipment from Hell Aug 15, 2009 The box came to the house with holes all through it. The only closures were plastic straps that do NOTHING to keep all the merchandise in the box. When the box was opened, or should I say when the straps were cut and the contents FELL out of the box, since there is nothing holding the box together but the lame plastic straps, half the parts were missing. It is miserable trying to actually get through to the company since you have to call long distance and can never get through. Good thing for me my dad had parts so I could actually get to use the cart.
It is my fault that I did not read the reviews as I normally do or would have NEVER purchased an item from this company. They are VERY cheap with the way they ship the products. The product looks really really good on the screen, but in reality the company takes absolutely NO pride in the way they ship their products. This will be the LAST thing I ever buy from this company. Amazon should take them off the site as sellers since they are SO pathetic.
