Easy to use, reliable, and precise Sep 02, 2008 I have two of these, and have used them one season. The programming is extremely easy to use and gives you enough options -- much simpler than the some of the other digital ones. The easy programming is a big plus if you are establishing a lawn and need to start with a lot of watering and then reduce it over time. The batteries are very easy to change ... and you should plan to run through a set of 3 AA batteries about every six weeks if you have the valves working daily. There is a low-battery indicator to let you know when they need to be changed. Overall, ease-of-use is a huge plus on this item. Like another reviewer noted ... you do have to replace the cover each time after changing the programming, which takes about 5 seconds.
You can set the start time so that if you are using multiple units they do not run at the same time. I've had good luck with reliability this season, better than the Melnor digital units, which I've basically retired due to the valves not closing all the way.

Piece of junk! Aug 24, 2008 If you forget to put the cover back on the next time it rains this controller will be ruined!

Where are the specifications? Apr 11, 2008 What are the power requirements (115VAC, 24VAC, battery, or what)? What is the minimum inlet pressure? I want to pump from an elevated storage tank in a remore area (pressure may be as low as 4 or 5 psi). Thanks.
