Out of stock | | | | | | The Futura features a new cinematic system for improved ergonomics: fixed armrests in all seat positions, making it easier to alter the reclining angle and to get up from the chair. It can be reclined into an infinite number of positions while remining completely stable. The Futura can be reclined either by easing body weight backwards or by pusing on the arms. This can be of particular assistance to shorter or less mobile users. | | | | | |

Almost as promised Oct 05, 2007 This chair is very comfortable, reclines easily, allows for ventilation, as promised. It's very good for me when I need to ice my knee, as I can just lie back and the chair puts me in perfect position, with my knee slightly raised.
My gripe is that the bar at the very bottom of the knee support part is unpadded and is pretty uncomfortable to rest my bare feet or ankles on, no matter how I wiggle up or down. I've taken to putting a towel there before I sit down. What were they thinking, I wonder?

An Absolute Delight Sep 18, 2007 I've taken 'zero-gravity' chairs like this on vacations for years.
The comfort is stunning. And the design gets incrementally better
over the years, with little improvements (like evolving past those
damn knobs that used to have to be tightened down).
Also, for a chair this large, it is surpring light and easy to move
around. If I were grading only on how much you'll enjoy this wonderful chair,
I'd give it 5 stars. But it IS a bit pricey. For me, cost isn't really a factor,
but for someone more on a budget, one of the Chinese knock-offs like
Faulkner might be a more prudent buy (Lafuma is a fancy-pants,
handmade French luxury). I'm a big guy, and I love reclining in it for
hours--after a day of hiking and/or swimming--with my dog in my lap...
over 300 pounds between us...and comfortable enough to doze off.
