Dream Machine Jan 09, 2009 Just received this in the mail today. Read directions carefully run it as suggested before using. I was so excited to try my new toy. So far have baked a Sara Lee pumpkin pie. Directions on package suggested 375 for 65 to 75 minutes. Baked mine at 375 on convection for 50 minutes and it turned out perfectly. Baked partially baked rolls and they turned out well, crisp on outside, soft on inside.
Love the controls, very easy to operate. Green backlight on start button when on. Timer is in 1 minute intervals and beeps and turns off when finished. This is a larger toaster oven but that is exactly what I wanted since I will be using it for baking and broiling as well as toasting most of the time. Defrosted ground turkey meat and took off the outer part when done and put the center part back to complete and turned out very well with no browning. Broiled turkey burgers and they came out moist and delicious. Can't wait to try some bagels this weekend. It is going to take me a little time to figure out baking times with the convection feature but that is half the fun. If this holds up I will be one happy camper.
A real dream machine. Have fun with it. I know I will.
Danger. Fire Hazard. Jan 02, 2009 I bought this oven at Bed Bath & Beyond, and it was great for a while, everything most reviews said here. It is very stylish and full-featured, but only perhaps for a dozen uses, at least for me. After a month or so, the electronics malfunctioned and it stayed on while toasting bread, burning it to a crisp. I had to unplug it to turn it off -- the controls were totally unresponsive. I returned it to BB&B for a full refund (hurray for their excellent return policy!) and bought a regular, low-tech Cuisinart toaster instead.
Then I read some of the reviews here at Amazon.com and it turns out that some other folks have had similar problems. I do not recommend this toaster oven. It is a fire hazard. I am just lucky that it didn't turn on while I was out of the house or on vacation, as it has for some others who have posted here.
As with most other negative reviews at Amazon.com, I expect this one will sink to the bottom quite quickly. Best of luck to the consumer who buys this dangerous appliance!

Appears to be well built, but... Dec 31, 2008 My out-of-warranty FBC2 toaster oven has an intermittent electrical problem. Most of the time it works perfectly well, but from time to time the buzzer will activate and sound muffled whether it's midway through the cycle or at the end, and the orange lights on the buttons will illuminate at random, usually buzzing at the same time. At times I have to unplug it. I would not purchase this oven again without at least a three-year warranty.
Great little machine Dec 27, 2008 It's compact, easy to use and great little convection oven / toaster. I have been using it almost every day and happy.
Highly recommended

Danger......Danger..... Dec 15, 2008 Danger....Danger
We bought this toaster oven based on the many very positive reviews. There were some 1 star reviews wherein the reviewer stated the toaster oven had caught on-fire, we stupidly dismissed these reviews as an anomaly. The day we set the toaster oven up we followed the instructions meticulously (heated the oven for 15 minutes with nothing in it). A day or so later my wife was toasting a lavash (again following the instructions to a "T"), when she opened the door to take the lavash out the toaster oven burst in to flames (12 inches high)....she shut the door and the flames went out. This is a lavash....no oil...nothing else in the oven.....what a scare!! If you must buy this oven read the other 1 star reviews wherein bursting to flames is discussed and proceed with EXTREME CAUTION!!!!!!
