 Misleading Mar 27, 2010
I just received this product. The cutout in the shade is too large for the bulb and falls over the bulb. The rings do not have any way of going thru the hole above each socket, as they are solid rings. I am wondering if the picture is in error, and the rings should act like washers to hold the fixture, but they are so tight, I can't get them around the base of the fixture. If I can't resolve this, the lights will have to be returned.

these lights have enhanced the front of our house/patio area. they are well made and durable(at least for the first 18 months). i would buy them again without hesitation.

Careful when ordering Dec 12, 2008
The lights are everything we expected and look great. There is some confusion when ordering, however. The photograph associated with the galvanized finish lights shows the copper finish, and vice versa. As pointed out by a previous reviewer, order the lights by the product description (galvanized or copper finish) and not by the associated photograph.

Great light string, but picture is slightly wrong Mar 01, 2008
First, I love this light string! We've got it hanging over our patio and it provides a nice, inviting glow. The cord seems very heavy duty and hanging it was simple.
One point of caution, the picture that accompanies the product (or did when I purchased it and also now when I write this review) is of the copper version of this same light string. So, this string looks just like the picture, only the lamp shades are galvanized tin colored rather than copper.
