crappy to the last drop Aug 09, 2010 I have a legendary Rubbermaid watering can and needed a second. They're not made anymore. So I got one of these at Home Depot and its crap. Save your money and use a hose.

many drawbacks May 12, 2010 This watering can is the worst I've ever used. Water spills out of the top hole as you pour, the rosette doesn't fit well so water drips out from it as well, the balance is off, and the hold is too small to fill it easily from, say, a rain barrel. Awful design!

Good product Dec 22, 2009 It holds a lot of water. The spout is little leaky, but whatever, it does the job.

Bad design Jul 03, 2009 I really dislike this watering can. The hole on the top is too small and set too far forward. Way too much water spills out the top, either while carrying or watering.
I have an older Rubbermaid watering can that is similar but has none of these design flaws. Unfortunately, I've never been able to find it again.
I'll give this product two stars because at least it has a removable head, which many do not.

Badly designed Jun 05, 2009 Because the handle is too far back, when you lift the can, it tips forward. This means that if the can's more than half full, water will come out as soon as you lift it, unless you use two hands.
Another design flaw is that the cap on the end of the stem isn't on very tight, so when you're watering, although most of the water squirts out almost horizontally, a fair amount also dribbles straight down.
If you don't mind filling it more frequently or having some water go where you don't want it, I guess this can's usable, but there are many better ones.
