Last Lamp Standing Jun 16, 2010 A while ago I purchased a variety of low-cost motion lights to install in a workshop. Of all the lights this is the only one still working. I think this light has circuitry that's a little better than other lights. Additionally this light can be switched on and off like a regular light during the day (as supplemental lighting). Some security motion lights only turn on when it's dark and/or there's motion. I have tested a number of bulbs and found that high wattage incandescent bulbs make the light body too hot. Low watt bulbs are advisable. Compact fluorescent bulbs work great.

Not sealed for outside use! Mar 14, 2009 Bought the light. Just what I was looking for. Installed easily. Configuration was a pain, just as the other reviews say, but I was OK with that. The light worked great, until it rained. Then it stopped working because the little box which houses the motion sensor FILLED UP WITH WATER! Odd that it was not sealed, even though it is an outdoor fixture. I'll be returning it.

Manual doesn't match item Feb 17, 2009 Probably an engineering change. It's OK, but hard to configure. And why should I have to configure a light fixture?

It is good in that price Oct 25, 2008 I bought this product last month, and it is easy to be installed. I am happy with the product, after installed in my front door, it work good.
It has three small buttons can judge the sense of light, time period and day light. That is enought for normal home useage.
The reason I didnot put 5 star is: If it came with light bulds, I can immediately use it, it would be better. Otherwise, I need went to shopping for buld, it cost some time. :)

Great light for the money Jun 24, 2008 2 complaints. 1 is that the little knobs you turn to adjust the settings are small and it's hard to read the indicators printed next to them. 2 is that the unit I received is not bronze, it's BLACK.
Instructions were good and the mounting hardware included was much better than the (non-existent) hardware that ships with the 110 degree version. Love the photovoltaic sensor, now I don't have to remember to turn off the lights each morning. Spend a little time getting the settings just right and then sit back and pat your wallet because this same unit costs a lot more at the local hardware store.
