Great product Feb 10, 2010 No gas, no wood, no smell--just plug it in and go! I've got two of these--they're great products but likely not available any longer. I paid around $100 each, I believe, buying one from an Amazon merchant and one from Costco. Costco apparently dumped the product likely because it was too expensive at the original price which was well north of $150 as I recall.

Not enough heat and cord too short Dec 19, 2009 This product is cheaper then any other model around for a reason. It really does not produce sufficient heat to heat a 100 sq. ft area (this is one of the marketing claims made by the producers of the product). If directly under the lamp, two individuals will stay sufficiently warm if they do not move around very much. Also the cord is very very short and the instructions indicate that extension cords should not be used. Finally, be very careful about installing the heating bulb as it is a very tight squeeze and the bulb itself seems quite fragile and is very expensive.
