 Not for prebake pie shells Dec 26, 2008
I bought these to make my Mom's recipe Chocolate Cream Pie. I had plenty of crust to shape around the edges, and put plenty of fork holes throughout. After baking for 12 minutes, the crust slid halfway down the steep sides of the pan and the upper edges burned, while the bottom center puffed up and didn't bake all the way through. They would probably work fine for fill and bake pies, but I am returning them.

Great deep dish pie pan which I've been looking for locally and couldn't find. Even more, wonderful purchase from Amazon. I can always depend on Amazon to carry those hard to find items, and the free shipping is a great help.

This is a very nice pan with rolled edge. It is substantial and deep. It's a little heavy but that's part of the quality of the product. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality true deep dish pie pan

They are heavy weight, they heat evenly, and are easy to clean? What else do I need? They are definitely a good buy.

I really like this pan for its depth and weight....the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the lip of the pan could be a little larger to make fluting the edges easier.
