Out of stock | | | | | | A welcome break from plastic outdoor thermometers that fade and crack with too much sun, this brass dial-face thermometer offers precision temperature readouts and heirloom-quality aesthetics. This dial thermometer is finished in antiqued brass and uses a 4-1/4-inch-diameter dial face with a classy outdoor swivel arm bracket for mounting at just the right angle. Solid brass and copper housings, plus a real glass lens, ensure years of reliable décor and function. Each Vermont Dial Thermometer is assembled in Vermont for optimal quality. A combination of simplicity and timeless design, the Vermont's copper surface provides natural corrosion resistance to withstand the elements for decades. Over the years, the copper attains a rich, dark patina like that of a vintage copper lantern. The thermometer gauges temperatures from -40 to 120 degrees F and also displays in Celsius. | | | | | |

Elegant and good quality May 11, 2008 I gave this as a gift and am pleased to see how beautiful the finsh is. It's been outside for 5 months and still looks new. It's accurate and easy to read. The recipient is happy, too!

Very nice Thermometer Nov 17, 2007 Purchased one for my mother a few years ago, and it has withstood many a Maine winter. Looks good and continues to perform well, so I bought another for my sister. The unit is sturdy and the face is easy to read.
Incorrect cold temp Mar 09, 2007 Trying this out in January in Ohio is a true test. The temps were down to the single digits, however, this therometer never went below 20, giving a very false reading. Expensive, good looking, easy to read, too bad it is inaccurate.
What's the Temp? Jan 16, 2007 It's smaller than I thought and has to be adjusted every so often.

a thermometer for luddites Feb 25, 2006 In the interest of resisting the digitization of EVERYTHING, this handsome and well-made thermometer is just what I wanted. It is easy to mount, very readable, simple and handsome in appearance, and easliy calibrated. It has already weathered nicely and should provide years of practical and pleasing service.
