great new way to bbq chicken Jun 23, 2008 Tried this cookware out tonight and was pleasantly surpised. I brought home a 3.5 lb bird (it had to be small to fit on my grill once the lid was down) and rubbed it down with olive oil and jerk seasoning (under and on the skin). Threw it over direct heat for 1.5 hours and the bird came out juicy and tasty. The beer (or other liquid of choice) in the middle acts as a steamer so the meat does not dry out. The wok area around the bird is handy as well. Not sure if much of the veg was catching the chicken juice but that didn't bother me too much. Plus as a bonus (given you place the wok on a larger plate) you can carve and serve right from the wok. Can't wait to use this at xmas for a sage flavored chix and grilled sweet potatoes!
