These are just as described and have a nice weight to them.
They are comfortable to use and are a good value.
Great for the clutz Aug 02, 2010
I'm a clutz, pure and simple. I break glasses before I even drink from them... but not with these durable glasses. I have bought 4 different boxes of glasses from wal-mart and target (all made overseas) since I moved out of my parents a decade ago, and I've broken all of them. In the dishwasher, dropping them while putting them up, dropping them while standing there talking. You name it I've done it.
I have kicked these anchor hocking tumblers over onto a concrete floor without even a chip. I have dropped them onto the counter while lifting them towards the cupboard and I have jammed them into the dishwasher... AND ALL ARE STILL ACCOUNTED FOR.
Wonderful quality. It makes me want to save and buy all of my materials american made.

I have bought a variety of items from Amazon - these glasses are thin, poorly constructed and feel very very cheap.

These are great glasses for the office as they are sturdy, nice looking and hold up well in the dishwasher each night. Since they are used in an office, no worry when one occasionally breaks, since we can restock with the same style. Have been buying them for years. They're great looking and comfortable to hold.

I inherited a set of these from a family member and have since put them into the garage sale box. They are good looking and durable enough, but that ring at the bottom collects the drippy condensation from cold drinks and spills it on your shirt or your plate when you pick up the glass and tilt it to take a sip. The other glasses we have are smooth sides and the condensation rolls down as normal and deposits on the coasters. Maybe this doesn't matter if you don't live in a hot humid state like we do.
